Sometimes when I give a presentation to the Boise Internet User's Group I create a handout to help explain the subject. The handout usually is intended to be read after the presentation or to be used as a reference guide. Click on the respective graphic to view the article.
The first one
is a reference guide to the DOS version of Pretty Good Privacy. It is still
useful as a reference for the new Windows version 5.0 as it describes much of
the terminology and gives a lot of useful links to other information about PGP
on the web.
The
next presentation that I did detailed the different kinds of search engines
on the Internet and how to use them. I tried not to focus too much on any
one engine, but on the techniques for creating better queries.

This page was used to demonstrate many of the tags, colors, and special characters
that I mentioned when I gave the Beginning Web Publishing talk for the BIUG
on July 15, 1998. It also references the actual PowerPoint presentation.
Keyboard Maintenance -- This page describes the process of cleaning your keyboard if you have keys sticking or "a friend" spills a can of soda or a cup of coffee into the keyboard and doesn't tell you for a week until it has hardened into a shell that will withstand a nuclear blast. Unlikely as that may sound ;-).
