GOALS:

My ideal job would be as an architect and researcher, writing system level (Internet, parsers, frameworks, etc.) utility programs, applications, or simulations.  Working as a toolsmith on larger projects, designing and writing frameworks, parsers, modeling, graphics and database sub-systems, or user interfaces is my preference.  Experienced in writing Internet applications (using C#, ASP.net, Java Servlets, XML, XPath, XSL, JavaScript, PHP, C++, and Perl), distributed applications, Windows applications (C# Forms and C++ MFC), and DLLs in C++ and C# using object oriented design techniques as well as CASE Tools.  I have experience with User Interface Design and Graphic/Logo Design.  I have an intimate knowledge of ASP.net, PHP, Servlets, XML, MFC, JDK, and Windows programming APIs. I am a published photographer and have done animation professionally (3D rendered as well as flash and gif animation).

• Designed and implemented web sites using ASP.net (C#, JavaScript, and some VB).  These web sites were contract projects for a fortune 100 company.
• Created animations in flash and mixed mode applications (flash coupled with web services) for fortune 500 web sites.
• Designed and implemented AJAX solutions for ASP.net-based web sites.
• Used Content Management Systems (CMS) to build web sites.
• Designed database schemas for SQL Server, and XML Schemas for Web Services.
• Worked on a web site generation application that generates a large (nearly 10,000 pages), static web site.

Hewlett-Packard Company -- 1997 – 2005

PROGRAMMER-TECHNICAL LEAD

• Designed and implemented a complete framework for web application and web services development in Java including XML, SOAP, XPath, XSLT, XHTML, connection pooling, SQL query caching, security, localization, and other related technologies.
• Interfaced with many different groups on multiple continents to organize integration of applications and databases.
• Designed and built multiple web-based applications and web services based on this framework which handle millions of requests a week with above 99% availability.
• Designed a portal application based on Rich Site Summary (RSS) XML-based protocols.
• Developed database schemas for multiple projects using Oracle, including stored procedures and triggers in both PL/SQL and Java, with tens of millions of records.
• Designed and wrote the Port Resolver (used by various printer drivers to discover printer network addresses).  Wrote a cross platform web server (in C and C++).
• Wrote an extendable scripting language interpreter (using a hand-built, object-oriented, recursive descent parser/interpreter) for use with the web server with language verbs that can be added at run-time (late binding).
